We had a very smooth trip over. All flights on time. Lufthanasa's Premium Economy Class very comfortable. We even managed to sleep a bit!
Munich is a great airport to connect in. Very clean and efficient, lots of comfortable seating and power outlets.
We had a bit of an epic getting to our Paris hotel! There is a convenient direct bus from CDG to the Gare de Lyon. Once we were on the bus we discovered that due to "security" the bus would not stop at the Gare de Lyon but would carry on to Gare Montparnasse instead. Traffic was terrible even by Paris standards. Then we had to find the right city bus to get us over to the Gare de Lyon.
So over two hours till we got to our hotel!
The Tim Hotel Gare de Lyon was a clean, comfortable,convenient 1 night stay. This morning we went for a walk in the (much needed) rain. The Viaduc des Arts is a great place to walk. They have turned an old elevated train line into a park.
This afternoon, off to Dijon by train.
