Daniele - St Leger Sur Dheune


A bus picked us up from the Mercure for the 1 hour bus ride to the small village of St Leger Sur Dheune. Here we boarded the lovely Daniele, our home for the next 6 nights. She is just the right size to fit into the locks on the canal, only centimeters to spare each side!
We enjoyed a class of cremant (local sparkling wine) as we heard the orientation talk and meet the  crew; Timi the crew manager, Fanny the captain, Nastashia the mate, Oliver the bartender and Pascal the chef.
After un packing, we went for a short walk on the canal. Then back to sit on the deck to get the last of the sun with another glass of cremant. At 7:30pm dinner.  Jambon with melon and cheese as a starter,then salmon. Sorbet with fresh fruit for dessert. Absolutely fantastic food, along with wine pairings
. Then chatting in the cosy lounge area till time for bed.
