This afternoon we had a little walk around the small town of Chagny. Because it's Sunday almost everything is closed. It does have a lovely church, beautiful flowers and a 3 star Michelin restaurant. We did not have dinner there, but instead went to Pierre et Jean, owned by the same family. The chefs and waiters are trained at Pierre et Jean to work in Lamloise. I had a fantastic 3 course meal for 32 Euro; Beef in Aspic with salad , duck breast, and lemon tart. Ian had the same but with gravlox to start. Others at our table had pate en croute, sea bream, veal and millefeuille.We had a red wine from the Cotes de Nuits. We were seated outside on the patio and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.
